About me

Welcome to my portfolio! My name is Caio, I'm 26 years old, and I'm a huge sports enthusiast, which led me to turn my passion into my professional career. I graduated in 2020 with a degree in Advertising and Propaganda from Faculdade Cásper Líbero (SP, Brazil), and during my studies, I had the opportunity to work on promoting sports through communication. I already have several years of experience within the sports industry.

My first professional experience in football was at Corinthians, in 2019, when I was hired as a social media intern and content creator. Along the way, I sought to refine my skills, which led me to Corinthians TV, where I was first introduced to audiovisual content. After the pandemic, I was hired full-time at Corinthians TV, where I took on the Facebook Watch project until 2021. This project involved delivering one video per day for six months. Although it was challenging, this experience taught me how to create efficiently, meet tight deadlines, and balance trending content with high quality.

After leaving Corinthians, I joined One9 Content, where I worked directly on content production for athletes and developed activations for brands looking to promote their products and businesses through these athletes.

In addition to creating quick, viral content, editing, and filming, I also worked on strategic social media planning and as a Community Manager. This role gave me a fresh perspective on how to plan and create, focusing on comprehensive delivery while staying on top of trends and seizing emerging opportunities.

In 2023, after completing an exchange programme, I returned to Brazil to take on the role of Social Media Manager at Umbro Brazil. I never intended to work in communication, but I found in it a way to make a real difference in sports. At Umbro, I am responsible for content planning for social media, campaign distribution, social-first content production, and influencer marketing management. It's a large and complex role, but one that is incredibly rewarding due to the opportunities it provides.

Next steps

During my exchange programme in California, in addition to my English studies, I took the opportunity to enhance my portfolio and experience different types of sports environments. I immersed myself in the atmosphere, observed fan behaviour, stadiums and gym facilities, etc. Now, my main goal is to continue studying the sports industry, and I would love to work in the sports business outside of my home country to gain even more knowledge and experience in the field.
